On Thursday, April 24, 2025, 蜜桃传媒 (SAU) welcomed alumni and the local Jackson community to their 11th annual An Evening at the Arbor, an event dedicated to showcasing the university鈥檚 faculty, students, and alumni of the School of Communication, Media, and Fine Arts, and raising over $47,000 for the Arbor Fund.

The evening began with a vibrant networking reception, featuring music from the SAU Jazz Cats, an art gallery exhibition, and demonstrations from video and film students. Following the reception, guests enjoyed dinner and a program highlighting the achievements of students, faculty, and alumni of the school with Professor Roger Varland and alumna Canena Adams 鈥14, 鈥19 sharing their SAU stories.

The Faith F. Small Community Faithfulness Award was presented during dinner, a special honor awarded to a distinguished local business leader who serves and strengthens the local community. This year鈥檚 honorees, Bart and Karen Hawley, are the founders and owners of JTV, a local news and radio station that has been a pillar of the Jackson community for 25 years.

鈥淲e are so thankful for the support and encouragement our community continues to show for SAU and our students,鈥 said Andrew Phelps, the Associate Director of Annual Giving. 鈥淓vents like An Evening at the Arbor not only celebrate the accomplishments of our students, faculty, and alumni, but also reaffirm the deep partnerships between SAU and the Jackson community.鈥

蜜桃传媒 is grateful for everyone who attended and made the evening a memorable success.
