Ҵý Named Official Teach-Out Partner of Siena Heights University

Siena Heights University (SHU) has reached an agreement with Ҵý (SAU) to designate SAU as an official teach-out partner amid SHU’s planned closure following the 2025–26 academic year.
This formal teach-out agreement ensures that current SHU students will receive guaranteed credit transfers, continued financial aid, and clearly defined pathways to timely degree completion. The partnership is designed to minimize disruption and provide a supportive transition for Siena Heights students seeking to continue their academic journey. SAU was previously announced as an official transfer partner for SHU in July.
“We recognize the difficult emotions that come with SHU’s closure, and we want to provide their students with the support they need to continue their education,” said Dr. Brent Ellis, President of Ҵý. “We are committed to creating a home for SHU students at Spring Arbor, and our hope is that this teach-out agreement helps transform what would have been a sad transition into a seamless and joyful continuation of their college experience.”
Dr. Carol Green, Provost of Ҵý, emphasized SAU’s commitment to academic continuity. “Our faculty and academic staff are ready to walk alongside Siena Heights students and ensure they can complete their degrees without losing momentum,” said Green. “We are working closely with SHU to align curriculum, honor the work students have already completed, and offer them a Christ-centered learning community where they can thrive.”
